1. Website use

The public parts of the Service — golf course, club, destination and event information — can be browsed by anyone, without an account. Some features, including the Golf Passport, require creating an account.

2. Account registration

An account may be created directly or via Google sign-in. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, including any passkey or two-factor method you set up.

Golf Passport Algarve is intended for people aged 18 or older.

3. User responsibilities

• Provide accurate information when registering or submitting an inquiry.
• Keep account credentials confidential and secure.
• Use the Service, including its contact and inquiry forms, for genuine purposes only.
• Not attempt to circumvent security measures, including the administrative access controls described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Golf Passport functionality

The Golf Passport lets a signed-in visitor track visits to golf facilities featured on the Service. Access to and use of this feature does not currently involve any payment. The scope, availability and rules of the Golf Passport feature, including its scorecard and round-tracking functionality, may change as the product develops.

5. User-submitted information

Where you enter information as part of using a feature — for example, round or scorecard details associated with your account — you remain responsible for its accuracy.

6. Business and listing information

Golf club, course, and business listing information on the Service is managed through its content system and is provided for general informational purposes. Details such as opening hours, pricing, or availability should be confirmed directly with the relevant business before you rely on them.

7. Listing corrections and disputes

• A business may request a correction to its listing.
• Representation or ownership of a listing may be verified where appropriate before a change is made.
• Golf Passport Algarve may correct, update, verify, restrict or remove a listing where justified.
• Additional evidence may be requested where ownership of a listing is disputed.
• Urgent legal or safety matters may be escalated or result in a listing being temporarily restricted.
• No particular outcome or timeframe is guaranteed for a correction or dispute.

8. Intellectual property

The Golf Passport Algarve name, logo, and site design are the property of its operator or its licensors. Golf club and course information may be sourced from or about the featured businesses themselves.

9. Third-party links and services

The Service links to third-party websites and integrates optional third-party sign-in (Google). The Service is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site it links to, and does not guarantee the prices, availability, opening hours or services of any third-party provider. You should verify material information directly with the relevant provider before relying on it. The Service is not responsible for transactions or services you arrange directly with a third party.

10. Availability

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. It may be unavailable at times for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside the operator's control, and features may change or be discontinued.

11. Accuracy and disclaimers

Golf course, club, event, and destination information is provided for general informational purposes and may change without notice.

12. Privacy

Information about how personal data is collected, used and protected is set out in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these Terms.

13. Commercial services and sponsored placement

Golf Passport is currently a free service for golfers. There is no online checkout, subscription, or payment system in place today. Future paid business services, if introduced, will be governed by separate commercial terms and will not retroactively apply to the free golfer service described here.

Commercial participation must not automatically determine organic ranking. Where a sponsored or featured placement exists or is introduced, it will be distinguishable from ordinary organic results.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, and without excluding or limiting any right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, the Service is provided on the basis that the operator is not responsible for third-party prices, availability, opening hours, services or transactions, for golf-course conditions outside the operator's control, or for decisions you make about travel or business arrangements based on information found on the Service. Any limitation of liability applied is intended to be proportionate and does not affect your mandatory statutory rights.

15. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, including administrative areas.
• Do not use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service.
• Do not submit false, fraudulent, or abusive content through any form.
• Do not use the Service in a way that infringes the rights of others.

16. Suspension and termination

An account may be suspended or terminated for breach of these Terms, including the acceptable-use rules above.

17. Changes to the Service

Features, including the Golf Passport and the business/listing model, may change, expand, or be withdrawn as the product develops — including the future introduction of commercial features that do not exist today. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected in an updated version.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the Portuguese courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection or other legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any right you may have to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.
