West Algarve Golf Trophy Returns for Its 8th Edition
The West Algarve Golf Trophy returns from 25 to 27 November 2026, bringing three days of competition to three standout courses in the Lagos area: Espiche Golf, Boavista Golf & Spa and Palmares Ocean Living & Golf.
Now in its eighth edition, the tournament has become a familiar date on the Western Algarve golf calendar, combining competitive play with the opportunity to experience three courses that each reveal a different side of the region.
The opening rounds take golfers through the peaceful surroundings of Espiche Golf, just outside Lagos. Designed to sit naturally within the existing landscape, Espiche is a course where strategy matters. Its fairways follow the contours of the countryside, creating a thoughtful challenge in a quiet, unspoilt setting.
At Boavista Golf & Spa, the character changes. Rolling terrain, varied holes and views stretching towards the Atlantic make for a lively round where accuracy and good course management are rewarded.
Then there is Palmares Ocean Living & Golf, with its sweeping views over the Bay of Lagos and the Alvor estuary. Its mix of coastal and inland holes provides a memorable setting and a fitting stage for the Trophy.
But the West Algarve Golf Trophy is about more than the scorecard. Three days around Lagos means time to enjoy the atmosphere of the Western Algarve — its coastline, restaurants, historic streets and slower pace at this time of year.
With mild late-autumn conditions and three very different courses on the programme, the 8th West Algarve Golf Trophy is a chance to combine good competition with some of the best golf the Western Algarve has to offer.
