East Algarve Golf Festival 2026 – A Week of Golf in the Eastern Algarve The East Algarve Golf Festival 2026 takes place from 28 November to 5 December 2026, combining a full week in the Algarve with five rounds of golf across some of the region’s most distinctive courses. Designed as much around the destination as the competition itself, the festival brings golfers together for seven nights of hospitality, social events and memorable rounds stretching from Tavira to the Spanish border. Five Courses, Five Different Experiences Over the course of the week, participants will play Castro Marim, Benamor, Monte Rei North, Quinta da Ria and Quinta do Vale — five courses that showcase the variety of golf found in the Eastern Algarve. Benamor Golf Course, near Tavira, is a Sir Henry Cotton design surrounded by characteristic Algarve vegetation, including olive, fig, carob and almond trees. Its approachable opening holes gradually give way to a more demanding test, with views towards the hills and Atlantic adding to the experience. At Castro Marim Golf, golfers can expect a landscape shaped by hills, waterways and expansive views towards the coast. The course offers an enjoyable challenge for different levels of player, combining strategic holes with the natural scenery of the region. A highlight of the festival is Monte Rei North, the celebrated Jack Nicklaus Signature course. Generous fairways, strategically positioned bunkers and large, fast greens create a refined but demanding round, complemented by panoramic views across the Eastern Algarve. Set beside the protected Ria Formosa Natural Park, Quinta da Ria offers a different character. Its relatively flat and walkable layout opens onto impressive views of the lagoon, ocean and surrounding countryside, while water hazards, bunkers and thick rough ensure there is still plenty to consider on every shot. The five-course programme is completed by Quinta do Vale, designed by Seve Ballesteros near the Guadiana River and the Spanish border. Its elevation changes, water hazards and strategic layout provide a challenging round, with memorable views towards the river and the Guadiana International Bridge. More Than a Golf Tournament The East Algarve Golf Festival is built around a complete week-long experience. The package includes seven nights of accommodation with buffet breakfast, five rounds of golf and seven days of car hire, allowing participants to explore the Eastern Algarve between rounds. The social programme includes a welcome drink reception, a traditional buffet dinner with selected Vila Galé wines, a Vila Galé wine tasting and a final prize-giving dinner, bringing the week to a relaxed and celebratory conclusion.
